Terms
The rules for using Localhost as a host or an attendee.
Draft · last updated September 2026 · not yet reviewed by counsel
Who we are
Localhost operates the platform at localhost.events. These terms apply to everyone who creates an account, hosts an event or buys a ticket.
Hosts
You are responsible for your event: its content, venue, safety, refunds within the window you set, and compliance with local law. You confirm your event fits a scene as described in the Event Policy. We may remove events that are not.
Tickets
A ticket is a licence to attend, issued by the host and delivered by Localhost. Prices are shown in the event currency and include the platform fee where applicable. Refunds follow the host's stated window; inside it, the platform fee is refunded too.
Payments and payouts
Paid tickets are processed by our payment providers. Hosts receive payouts two days after the event, less the platform fee and any refunds.
Acceptable use
No harassment, no scraping of attendee data, no reselling tickets above face value, no events that break the Event Policy. We can suspend accounts that break this.
Liability
Localhost provides the platform; the host provides the event. We are not liable for what happens at an event beyond what the law requires.
Changes
We will notify account holders by email before material changes take effect.
